WLGA is a full-power station serving viewers in the greater Columbus area with multiple channels and diverse programming. WLGA is the successor to WSWS that first went on the air in 1982 as Columbus’s first independent television station. The station operated under various affiliations, most recently The CW, before becoming independent in 2005.
In 2015, the station was purchased by CNZ Communications SE, LLC. CNZ is equipped with experienced television broadcasters who own and operate many independent television stations throughout the country. Shortly after this transition, WLGA began to offer multiple over-the-air channels featuring a wide range of programming to meet viewer interests.
WLGA’s channel line-up includes classic television programming from COZI TV, THIS TV, and home shopping from CRTV, QVC, and QVC2. WLGA also regularly carries children’s, local, and public affairs programming.
